I grew up hunting the famous Garden County Refuge in Western Nebraska. My first trips to the blind were made at a very young age. The passion for waterfowling instilled in me by my father and grandfather on these early hunts is still present today. I enjoy waterfowl hunting for many reasons, but above all I enjoy spending time with family and friends in the field, watching birds work, and especially enjoy watching my 2 year old yellow lab "Lisco" do what he loves to do most. I also enjoy filming hunts, and capturing all of the entities that make up a hunt. A friend and I film hunts throughout the season, and a couple of our hunts have been featured on RNT-V.
I have been fortunate to travel to several different states to hunt ducks and geese, but I hunt the majority of the season in the North Platte River bottoms. I work temporarily from May-October as a fisheries technician for the Nebraska Game and Parks. During the fall and winter months I spend my time guiding for Canadas, mallards, and snow geese during the conservation season. While I am not waterfowl hunting, or working for the Game and Parks, I can usually be found fishing or hunting deer, elk, or turkeys.
