Well here we are the first part of October, one of my favorite months! It’s finally cooling off a little, and many of our friends and co-workers either are about to leave, been there or are still in Canada or one of the Northern tier states hunting ducks and geese!! One of the great things about October and the cool nights and the early migrants is the anticipation of the upcoming season, everyone you speak with talks about habitat conditions, water levels and cold fronts. While at my Daughters Soccer game tonight, folks that I see on a regular basis that hardly ever speak of duck season, are telling duck hunting stories and looking for their duck calls. Fall is certainly in the air and if you are a duck hunter I am sure your thoughts are like mine and are thinking of the upcoming season. John, the RNT-V crew and myself are certainly looking forward to getting back in the hunt and starting on the next video and TV season.
I don’t know how it is all going to turn out or where all we will wind up this duck season but I know this… You must be present to win!

Currently editor Kevin Matluk and I are finishing up the last few episodes of RNT’s award winning outdoor program RNT-V, airing on Versus and The Sportsman Channel… Although I have been proud of all our TV episodes since the beginning knowing full well some will be better than others, in my opinion this is the best season we have had… A lot of that has to do with having a good duck and goose season last year and the longer we do it the more we learn. However we look forward to feed back from you the viewer. Although I feel we are putting together a pretty good show, there is always room for improvement. If we can’t or won’t do it we will at least give you a reason.
I would also like to thank our sponsors, without their support we would not be able to do what we do. If you are needing some new or updated gear before duck season, please go to the sponsor page and peruse their websites for the new waterfowl gear you may be looking for, or if you're in town stop in at Mack’s Prairie Wings and look around, if it is something you need for duck and goose hunting MPW will most likely have it and if you get the opportunity, drop them a line and tell ‘em the folks at RNT-V sent ya.
Speaking for myself, and the rest of the RNT-V crew. We are all looking forward to finishing up this seasons episodes and getting back in the field… That’s where it really counts… If you’ve missed some episodes, they will all run again until the end of December so be sure and set your DVR’s so you can stay tuned to RNT-V…
