From the Producer
It’s been a couple years since I’ve written anything for this piece and time certainly does not stand still; Here we are finishing field production for season 10 of RNT-V. To me, this is somewhat a milestone, by the end of this upcoming broadcast season we will have aired more than 150 unique episodes! None of this would have been possible if not for tons of good help and teamwork from everyone involved. From getting permission to hunt good property or an extra camera hand, to setting decoys or merely taking a turn behind the wheel, we owe our success to our crew that is made up of mostly of friends and family some of whom are on the payroll and some who are not...Thanks to: Blake, Rusty, Skeeter, Junior, Erik, Robert, Tyson, Kenneth, Kevin, Hunter, David, Jake, Adam, Dylan and Jason. If I missed anyone, I apologize.
Of course a big tip of the hat goes to Producer Shawn Stahl, although Shawn is known for his prowess as a goose man, I witnessed some duck footage recently that Shawn and his crew laid down this year that will be outstanding along with his typical, top shelf goose footage and great dog work; I can promise we would not be about to enter season 10 without Shawn being a part!
Talking about footage, while I have not been through everything at this time, it appears that our very own John Stephens will be back in action with some very up close and personal duck footage this upcoming season along with unleashing his new Speck call, the Barbelly which has proven to be death on the Specks and a great addition to the RNT lineup.
One of the things we have learned about outdoor television is that the one constant is change. With that, please welcome the good folks from Tanglefree quality waterfowl products and Sitka Gear apparel as new major Sponsors for 2015. Both of these companies bring high quality well thought out products to our world of waterfowling with the main focus of what can they do to make better, more user friendly products for todays waterfowlers.
I will try and do a better job of keeping folks informed from this sight as we have several web changes coming up over the next few months and you can also stay up to date on Twitter and Facebook along with being on the look out for season 10 of RNT-V beginning late June or early July of 2015 exclusively on the Sportsman Channel.
With all that said above I would be remiss in not acknowledging that none of this would be happening without a viewing audience, so for all of you who watch the show, that drops a line or kind word about us and our program, I raise my glass high and say thanks for watchin, we wouldn’t be here without you!
Until next time,
