Where does the time go? Here we are in April all ready, it is amazing how time fly’s. Seems like duck season just ended and now Turkeys are Gobblin’ and Crappie are biting. I hope everyone is having an opportunity to get out and enjoy Springtime!!
With that we have Assistant Producer and Goose Call Guru, Shawn Stahl in the house currently working on some video stuff and dialing in the new Goose calls. After reviewing some of Shawns footage from this past year I am excited about the next video and the upcoming TV shows. Shawn was plagued with rain and clouds most of the time but was able to pull together some outstanding footage even with the bad conditions.
On another note, with all the water on the Prairies we might be set up for a good hatch. There are still several other variables yet to be determined, but lets keep our fingers crossed for a great hatch!
Until then keep an I on the website for some new web clips that we are going to be putting together.
See ya, next time!

Howdy!! Yeah it’s been awhile since I have had an update… Oh I had big plans, however duck season got in the way of getting on the computer and doing other stuff.
Speaking of duck season, I hope everyone had a good one. I know for us it seemed the old RNT luck deal came back to haunt us… Or at least me… Have you ever been in a slump and new it? I think I have an idea of how a Baseball pitcher or Quarterback feels when they just can’t put things together. Pretty much whatever move I made was wrong. Here is a typical scenario: Go to the woods…kill a few…6 Mondo bunches start in and for whatever reason do not finish… Get a phone call to go with somebody the next day that’s been killin’ ‘em… shut them down. Buddies call that hunted where we hunted the morning before shoot 6 limits by 9:00… Call Johnny to see how his crew did… Same story… Uhhhggg!
There were a few highlights though and Johnny was able to pull a rabbit or two out of his hat so we did not have a complete flop of a video season… All in all I wish it were about to start all over again so I had the opportunity to right all the wrongs or at least do a few things different…
The good news is, we are still doing some Snow Goose hunting and are getting geared up to start the editing process of all our footage for TV and Video and of course Spring turkey Season is getting closer and some of my buddies have starting to catch some crappie. So there is a lot to look forward to.
If you have some ideas of what you like to see be sure and drop us a line and let us know, we will be back on the air come Summer time and start this whole process all over again.
Thanks for taking the time to see what’s going on.
Until next time,
JimBo

Well here we are the first part of October, one of my favorite months! It’s finally cooling off a little, and many of our friends and co-workers either are about to leave, been there or are still in Canada or one of the Northern tier states hunting ducks and geese!! One of the great things about October and the cool nights and the early migrants is the anticipation of the upcoming season, everyone you speak with talks about habitat conditions, water levels and cold fronts. While at my Daughters Soccer game tonight, folks that I see on a regular basis that hardly ever speak of duck season, are telling duck hunting stories and looking for their duck calls. Fall is certainly in the air and if you are a duck hunter I am sure your thoughts are like mine and are thinking of the upcoming season. John, the RNT-V crew and myself are certainly looking forward to getting back in the hunt and starting on the next video and TV season.
I don’t know how it is all going to turn out or where all we will wind up this duck season but I know this… You must be present to win!
Until next time,
JimBo

Currently editor Kevin Matluk and I are finishing up the last few episodes of RNT’s award winning outdoor program RNT-V, airing on Versus and The Sportsman Channel… Although I have been proud of all our TV episodes since the beginning knowing full well some will be better than others, in my opinion this is the best season we have had… A lot of that has to do with having a good duck and goose season last year and the longer we do it the more we learn. However we look forward to feed back from you the viewer. Although I feel we are putting together a pretty good show, there is always room for improvement. If we can’t or won’t do it we will at least give you a reason.
I would also like to thank our sponsors, without their support we would not be able to do what we do. If you are needing some new or updated gear before duck season, please go to the sponsor page and peruse their websites for the new waterfowl gear you may be looking for, or if you're in town stop in at Mack’s Prairie Wings and look around, if it is something you need for duck and goose hunting MPW will most likely have it and if you get the opportunity, drop them a line and tell ‘em the folks at RNT-V sent ya.
Speaking for myself, and the rest of the RNT-V crew. We are all looking forward to finishing up this seasons episodes and getting back in the field… That’s where it really counts… If you’ve missed some episodes, they will all run again until the end of December so be sure and set your DVR’s so you can stay tuned to RNT-V…
Thanks for checking in, maybe we’ll see you on the road or in the woods somewhere…
Until next time, shoot ‘em with their boots on!
